CBA - Pre-Pilot Program

Call for Expressions of Interest: Volunteer Engineers Needed for Competency-Based Assessment

Pre-Pilot Program

Are you an experienced engineer with a passion for professional development and education? We invite you to contribute to the future of engineering excellence by volunteering to introduce our Competency-Based Assessment (CBA) Pre-Pilot Program.

About the Pre-Pilot Program:

The Competency-Based Assessment Program aims to ensure that engineers in Nova Scotia meet the highest standards of competence in their fields. This initiative enhances the quality and consistency of engineering practice by evaluating and certifying professionals based on their skills and competencies.

The Pre-Pilot CBA Program will run from Oct 1 – Nov 30, 2024, and will not include applicants from Nova Scotia.  Volunteers will review applications that have already been reviewed using the CBA program in another province.  Volunteers will receive comprehensive training and guidance about the CBA Program to become familiar with all aspects of the program.

While we encourage this group to continue their valuable volunteer efforts and become ambassadors of the CBA program when it opens to Nova Scotia applicants in January 2025, this volunteer commitment is only for the duration of the Oct 1 – Nov 30, 2024 pre-pilot program.
