Committee type: CEO Advisory Committee

The Professional Practice Committee provides advice on emerging engineering issues, supports the development of professional practice guidelines, and helps address matters that affect both engineers and the public. Volunteers contribute their expertise to discussions that influence policy, guidance documents, and best practices across the profession.

Committee Information:

• Supported by the Chief Operating Officer and Association Staff
• Monthly hybrid meetings
• 3-year terms with opportunities for reappointment
• Must have a minimum of nine members

Committee Responsibilities:

• Help shape practice guidelines used by engineers across Nova Scotia
• Contribute expertise on emerging issues affecting the practice of engineering
• Support initiatives that protect the public and strengthen professional practice

Requirement to Join:

• EIT or P.Eng. in good standing
• Knowledge of Microsoft Teams and SharePoint recommended
