Committee type: CEO Advisory Committee

Engineering decisions influence the safety of our infrastructure, workplaces, and communities. This committee brings together professionals to exchange ideas, monitor emerging issues, advise on policy developments, and promote health and safety awareness throughout the profession. Volunteers can apply their expertise to help protect the public and strengthen engineering practice across Nova Scotia.

Committee Information:

• Supported by the Chief Operating Officer and Association Staff
• Quarterly hybrid meetings
• 3-year terms with opportunities for reappointment
• Consists of eight to ten registrants in good standing

Committee Responsibilities:

• Provides input on health and safety policies and regulatory developments
• Responds to health and safety issues impacting the profession
• May contribute health and safety articles for The Engineer magazine.
• May contribute professional development events and educational sessions on health and safety topics

Requirement to Join:

• EIT or P.Eng. in good standing
• Knowledge of Microsoft Teams and SharePoint recommended
