Committee type: CEO Advisory Committee

The CPD Committee helps shape how engineers remain current, competent, and prepared for emerging challenges. Members provide guidance on professional development requirements, learning opportunities, conference content, and program improvements. For volunteers who value lifelong learning and want to support engineers throughout their careers, this committee offers the opportunity to make an impact across Nova Scotia.

Committee Information:

• Supported by the Chief Operating Officer and Association Staff
• Hybrid meetings, minimum of nine meetings per year
• 3-year terms with opportunities for reappointment
• Must have a minimum of five members

Committee Responsibilities:

• Oversees the development and ongoing improvement of the CPD program
• Recommends improvements to the CPD program
• Monitors guidance from Engineers Canada and best practices from engineering regulators across the country
• Participates in activities to audit CPD records of registrants

Requirements to Join:

• P.Eng. in good standing
• Knowledge of Microsoft Teams and SharePoint recommended
