Seeking Volunteers for Engineer Nova Scotia Office Relocation Task Force

Mar 17, 2026 12:00 AM

Engineers Nova Scotia is assembling a Task Force to support an important organizational transition. We are seeking 6–8 volunteers whose professional background aligns with the expertise required for this work.

This Task Force will play a key advisory role in evaluating proposals related to our future office accommodation needs. Its mandate includes:

  • Reviewing proposals for the sale of our current office building

  • Identifying and securing new office space

  • Overseeing renovation planning for the new space

  • Supporting planning for the transition and move

The Task Force will report directly to the CEO and operate with a defined, time-limited scope.

We are looking to bring together experience in:

  • Commercial real estate and leasing

  • Finance and financial analysis

  • Project management

  • Governance and risk

  • Architecture

  • Construction and renovation oversight

Meetings will be held in a hybrid format, allowing volunteers to participate from within or outside Halifax. The anticipated commitment includes periodic meetings and document review from May 2026 through the completion of the RFP evaluation and transition planning phase.

As a Professional Engineer in good standing with Engineers Nova Scotia, if you would like to be considered, please contact volunteer@engineersnovascotia.ca by April 3, 2026, with a brief expression of interest, your résumé, and any accessibility or accommodation needs.

Please note that conflict-of-interest considerations may apply. Volunteers whose firms submit proposals under the RFP will be excluded from the review process. Conflicts will be assessed once proposals are submitted, and some volunteers may need to be excused or replaced.
