The Safety Branch’s Electrical Safety Unit, under the Department of Labour, Skills and Immigration, is undertaking updates to Nova Scotia’s electrical safety regulations as part of its mandate as the provincial regulator.

Whether you are an organization, business or building owner, electrician, contractor, apprentice, homeowner—or simply someone who cares about public safety—these updates may be relevant to you, your work, and your community.

Keeping you informed is part of our commitment to safety. To help protect all Nova Scotians, we encourage you to take a few minutes to review the background document, discussion paper, and survey to see how these changes might affect you.
