2025 Engineers Nova Scotia Award Recipients Announcement

Honouring engineering excellence, service, and community leadership in Nova Scotia. 

Engineers Nova Scotia is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2025 Engineers Nova Scotia Awards. These annual awards recognize registrants who have demonstrated excellence in engineering practice, leadership, service to the profession, and contributions to the community. 

This year’s recipients will be formally recognized at the Engineering Excellence Gala on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at the Halifax Tower Hotel, as part of Engineers Nova Scotia’s annual celebration of the engineering profession. 

The 2025 Engineers Nova Scotia award recipients are: 

  • F.H. Sexton Gold Medal – Victor Belliveau, P.Eng. 
    (Presented for exceptional achievements in engineering and contributions to the profession.) 

     
  • Engineering Award – Denisse Justiniano, P.Eng. 
    (Recognizing excellence in engineering practice and professional achievement.) 

     
  • L.A. White Young Engineer Award – Levi Morrison, P.Eng. 
    (Honouring leadership and innovation among early-career engineers.) 

     
  • J.D. Fraser Service Award – Dr. Emeka Oguejiofor, FEC, P.Eng. 
    (Acknowledging outstanding service and commitment to the engineering profession.) 

     
  • Citizenship Award – Greg Peters, P.Eng. 
    (Celebrating significant contributions to the community through outstanding service and leadership.) 

     
 

This year’s theme, “Opening Doors to Community,” highlights the social impact of engineering in fostering inclusivity, building connections, and creating opportunities across Nova Scotia.
