A message from Troost Institute for Leadership Education in Engineering, University of Toronto

Please fill out this survey from the University of Toronto & Engineers Canada

We used to think that getting your degree and working in your chosen discipline was the end of the story, but it's just the beginning. Our new survey explores what happens next!

Created by our team at U of T's Troost Institute for Leadership Education in Engineering (Troost ILead), with support from Engineers Canada, this survey is part of a study on the career trajectories, mobility patterns, and sense of professional belonging of engineering alumni across Canada who graduated before 2013.

We would really appreciate it if you could take 20 minutes to fill out this survey. Participation is entirely voluntary, of course, and your responses will be kept confidential.

With your feedback and that of your fellow alumni, we will be able to clarify a wider range of occupational trajectories than those traditionally associated with the profession. We will also be able to create knowledge that can foster a sense of professional belonging and retention among engineering students and graduates who pursue a diversity of career paths.

The survey is open now and closes October 14th, 2022. Summary findings of the study will be made available on Troost ILead’s website in early 2023.

This research study is funded by the Social Science and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) and has undergone ethics review at the University of Toronto.

We look forward to learning from you.  Please follow the survey link below
