UPDATE:  COVID-19 Measures, 10 November 2021

Dear Applicants, Registrants, Volunteers, Friends and Family of Engineers Nova Scotia,

As provincial pandemic public health policies and measures become less restrictive, Engineers Nova Scotia has examined how it can return to in-person functions and events while minimizing exposure to the virus.

As of 15 November 2021, Engineers Nova Scotia will resume in-person activities following provincial public health policies and regulations.

Engineers Nova Scotia has published a policy to allow a limited return to in-person events called COVID 19 HEALTH SAFETY IN THE WORKPLACE(that document can be found HERE.) The policy provides guidance on who will be permitted access to our Halifax office, and how Engineers Nova Scotia will follow the provincial guidelines and regulations.

In brief, Engineers Nova Scotia will ask all Employees, Visitors to our office, and all participants of in-person Engineers Nova Scotia meetings, functions, events and activities to provide acceptable proof of vaccination and to adhere to all personal protections policies such as masking and physical distancing.

The policy provides guidance for most contingencies, but as Engineers we all know that situations can change fairly quickly and that we can return to more restrictive measures rapidly.  All Employees and Visitors are asked to be mindful that every person has employed different coping mechanisms during this pandemic, and our registrants and guests are asked to exercise common sense and good judgement to minimize the risk of exposure to COVID 19 to themselves and to others.

As we move into this new phase, we appreciate your support and patience. If you have any questions on the policy or its application, we ask that you respect our employees as they do their best to protect you as well as themselves, and that you direct any questions or comments to me or the Chief Operating Officer, Kris Dove.

Best regards

DS (Pal) Mann, P.Eng., CD
