 The nomination committee received a record number of nomination packages and these amazing women were selected through three categories of measurement: 1) Profession / Career; 2) Community; 3) Personal Achievements. Each woman receiving a Progress Woman of Excellence Award has her own amazing individual story of success and determination.

The 24^th annual Progress Women of Excellence event is produced by the Canadian Progress Club of Halifax Cornwallis and is in support of Phoenix Youth a long-term shelter for homeless and at-risk youth. To date, over $1,000,000 has been raised for from this event for Phoenix Youth.

These 19 Women of Excellence will be publicly acknowledged and celebrated at the Progress Women of Excellence Awards at the World Trade and Convention Centre on Wednesday, November 6.
