Engineers Nova Scotia is pleased to provide you with information about the new draft version of our  “Guideline for Relying on the Work of Others”
 .
This guideline is based on the practice standard produced by APEGA, Alberta’s engineering and geoscience regulator.  The Engineers Nova Scotia Professional Practice Committee has reviewed and adapted this draft guideline, and now seeks feedback from members before finalizing it. Following consultation, this final version of the guideline will be submitted to Council for approval.
 
If you wish to provide feedback on this guideline, please send your comments to practice@engineersnovascotia.ca by July 16, 2021. We will review and consider all submissions prior to providing the proposed final guideline to Council.

The Professional Practice Committee continues to assess new guidelines and practice advisories that would help support the practice of our members, and to provide clarification in areas where there are frequent questions. As a reminder, the Professional Practice Committee is always seeking interested volunteers who would like to contribute to self-regulation through consideration of issues that may affect the practice of engineering Nova Scotia.
