Engineers Nova Scotia's Response to COVID-19

A Message from CEO and Registrar, D.S. Pal Mann, P.Eng.

Dear Engineers Nova Scotia Members and Future Members,

The past few weeks have been unlike anything most of us have experienced in our lifetimes.  The  official public safety response to deal with the evolving Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation has escalated rapidly and many organizations are taking proactive measures to reduce inadvertent exposure to the virus.

Engineers Nova Scotia is committed to the health and wellbeing of its staff, its internal and external stakeholders, and members of the public whom we serve.

As a result, the Engineers Nova Scotia Office will be closed to visitors (members, volunteers and the public) from March 17th – March 29th, and possibly longer depending on the situation.

Though closed to visitors, the Engineers Nova Scotia Office will be open for employees; employees who can execute their duties from home will be encouraged to telecommute.  We will do our best effort to ensure that our members and volunteers continue to receive professional, timely service during the closure.

Walk-in appointments will not be possible during this period; any critical business with member or applicants will be done through email. For members, many activities such as reporting CPD or dues payment can be completed through our Member and Company area at https://engineersnovascotia.ca/member-area/

For our volunteers, all critical regulatory meetings will be conducted virtually through teleconference or videoconference.  The staff responsible to coordinate any of our committee meetings will provide updates via email.

Like you, we are carefully monitoring the COVID-19 public health risk, and are committed to ensuring we keep you updated on how this will impact upcoming activities and operations. We appreciate your understanding in these uncertain times.
