Engineers Nova Scotia is committed to promoting the value and importance of increasing the diversity of engineers practicing within our province. Our efforts in this area span encouraging all youth to make informed decisions about their future careers to aligning our registration policies to treat all applicants equally. In December, Engineers Nova Scotia Council members voted unanimously to add a criteria to the Lieutenant Governor’s Award for Excellence in Engineering that reflects Council’s commitment to their goal to “promote diversity and inclusion within the engineering profession.” The additional criteria is, “Demonstrated Effort to Support a Diverse and Inclusive Engineering Team.”

Nominations for the 2020 Lieutenant Governor’s Award for Excellence in Engineering,  are due by 3PM on January 31^st.
