The CCEC 2019 conference program will explore the theme of “Synergy and Innovation through Community Engagement”, focusing on the evolving landscape of roles and interactions between chemical engineers and society (community-driven research, sustainability, industry/academia partnerships, commercialization, equity and diversity initiatives and research).  The program will showcase industrially-relevant examples of commercial advancement and insight into potential pathways for graduates exploring links between their research and the broader community through three special symposia: Emerging and Applied Industrial Research, Chemical Engineering in the Community, and Entrepreneurial Advancement and Globalization.  This year’s plenary lectures and honorary symposia will also focus on recognizing leaders in chemical engineering who have made significant contributions to the research landscape in Canada or abroad. 

CCEC 2019 will continue to build on the Emerging Leaders in Chemical Engineering special plenary sessions, with a call for nominations expected early in 2019. The conference will also feature several core technical sessions, and an integrated student program for both undergraduate and graduate students.
