  • Explore the roles and responsibilities the design-builder takes on as the consultant and contractor for both design and construction or vice-versa (consultant led d-b)
  • Learn how to assemble a design-build team and to demonstrate that they are the most capable in performing the work
  • Recognize the value of consensus-building processes aimed at balancing the interests of all parties
  • Perform an in-depth analysis of contractual risks
  • Learn about the guide for the calculation of honouraria on design-build proposals
  • Learn about the difference between insurance & bonding for design-build vs. design-bid-build

Each participant will receive a tutorial booklet , the complete set of the CDBI Practice Manual and educational versions of CCDC’s two standard design-build contracts.

The one-day tutorial counts for one credit toward the education requirement of the Gold Seal Certification program.
