Presentation Description:

A well-articulated plan is a goal half accomplished. Too often those plans are approached in the same way as New Years’ Resolutions. A brief discussion is held with your leader during an annual review and a quick plan is developed for the coming year, only to be forgotten a few weeks later when work gets in the way. But individuals who are serious about maximizing their performance at work and in their personal life consider personal development an imperative for success. Development plans do not need to be overly complicated; however, they require six critical elements and effective tools to ensure success. You’ll walk away from this session with a set of tools designed to help you achieve the success you want.

You will learn:

  1. A simple but powerful development methodology to apply to all your learning needs
  2. To use a competency approach to development
  3. To quickly assess your skills to determine your strengths and gaps
  4. A seven step process to create an individual development plan that addresses both your needs and those of the organization
  5. To identify the best approaches to use for your learning needs
  6. To measure your progress and obtain meaningful feedback
