Training Session on the Envision Sustainable Professional Education Program - Dartmouth

Sep 11, 2017 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Stantec will be hosting an Envision ™ Training Session on September 11th, 2017. The training will be delivered by Marty Janowitz, VP of Sustainable Development and Envision Sustainability Professional (ENV SP and Authorized Trainer).

Envision ™ is a Sustainability Design Framework and Rating System developed in collaboration between the Harvard University Graduate School of Design and the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure (ISI). The ISI is a non-profit education and research organization founded by the three major Engineering/Design organizations in the US: ASCE, APWA, and ACEC. Envision  is rapidly becoming the progressive standard across North America for the planning, design and sustainability evaluation of all types and scales of infrastructure.

This is a unique opportunity to learn more about how to increase the overall performance and sustainability of infrastructure projects through a framework that assists owners and designers (public or private sector) to identify realistic efficiencies in planning, design, construction, operation, and maintenance. This training is particularly timely in light of upcoming Federal (and Federal Infrastructure Bank) funding programs.

To implement an Envision™ Verification towards an Award that recognizes superior project performance, the design team must include an Envision Sustainability Professional (ENV SP). This full day course satisfies the training requirement and authorization to complete the open-book, online certification exam.

The cost of the training for public sector employees (and full-time faculty or students) is $US150 plus $CDN$25 training materials and lunch (or a total of $215CDN). There is no further cost to take the subsequent ENV SP exam. Fees for private sector employees or professionals are US$350 for the in-person training. When ready to take the exam, there is an additional fee of US$250. All fee monies go the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure. Stantec is providing the training at no additional cost.
