“Engineers Open Doors” to cultivating curiosity and much more!
To mark National Engineering Month, Engineers Nova Scotia invites elementary & junior high school students and their families from across the province to come explore the world of engineering.
Through interactive exhibits and competitions, Engineers Nova Scotia wants to inspire the potential engineers of tomorrow to learn about the limitless possibilities that engineering offers and possible STEM careers.
MAIN EVENT – STOMP ROCKET CHALLENGE (suitable for ages 8 – 12 years)
Cheer on competitors as they vie for victory by power their rocket with their strongest stomp. Participants will win prizes and gain invaluable lessons about engineering. Materials provided.
PASSPORT TO LEARNING (suitable for all ages)
Each participant will receive a passport to collect stamps from nine different interactive learning exhibits to decode a message. Once completed, participants can exchange their passports for prizes, including Engineers Nova Scotia Hats and T-shirts (200 Prizes).
All participants will also be given a free raffle ticket to enter to win a spot for a one week summer camp with SuperNOVA. PLEASE NOTE: this raffle draw will be held at approximately 1:45 PM, so all entries must be completed by then, and you must be present to win this amazing prize.
Confirmed exhibitors include Dal Rocketry, Dal Solar Car, FSAE, and Dal AUV, Clean Foundation & SuperNOVA!
