BIPOC Graduate Student Mentoring Academy

Jul 15, 2024 - Sep 30, 2024

Dalhousie University

The BIPOC Graduate Student Mentoring Academy at Dalhousie University is an initiative that aims to provide greater support for Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour (BIPOC) graduate students at the University. The program connects graduate students with experienced mentors who share their racial, academic, or ethnic backgrounds. Mentees are graduate students from various programs, including medicine, health, research, engineering, and sciences.

The Academy is building its network of BIPOC Mentors from these industries for its third cohort beginning in October 2024. By offering industry-specific mentorship, the Academy aims to provide students with valuable insights, guidance, and networking opportunities essential for their professional development and success.
