The Future City High School competition engages grades 9-12 students in imagining, researching, designing and building cities of the future. This authentic project transforms high school students’ understanding of engineering and fosters a sense of teamwork, problem-solving, and project management skills.

• August: Future City Handbook released
• September-December: Future City Teams kick off their projects by researching, designing, and building their essay and model
• January: Virtual Qualification Round (Competition Access Only)
• February: Finals in Washington, DC (Competition Access Only)
