Civil engineers working in Northern regions will sooner or later have to deal with ice problems, a subject rarely treated in B.Eng programs. This two-part webinar series will provide an introduction to the subject with necessary theory plus practical applications. Detailed notes will also be provided.

This webinar is intended for the generalist civil engineer to enhance their skills in dealing with ice problems.

Phil Helwig, M.Eng, M.ASCE, will be leading the webinar. Phil has 48 years experience in hydropower and water resources engineering. He has been interested in ice engineering since early in his career. He has practical experience with ice problems in NWT, Newfoundland and Labrador and Quebec.

 

Fees

  • Practicing engineers: $280 (including HST)
  • Students, retirees, on maternity/paternity leave, or job search: $93 (including HST)
  • Group fee: First six at $288 each additional participants at $93 (HST included)
