December 6th Ceremony of Remembrance and Resilience - École Polytechnique Commemoration

Dec 6, 2021 7:00 PM - 7:30 PM

5257 Morris Street, Halifax (Richard Murray Design Building in the Irving Oil Auditorium)

On Monday, December 6th, the Dalhousie Women in Engineering (WIE) Society will be hosting their annual ceremony of remembrance and resilience. This ceremony is to commemorate the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women. We do this to honour the memory of the 14 women who tragically died on December 6th, 1989, in the École Polytechnique massacre, and to show our spirit and perseverance as women in engineering.

All are welcome. A group will meet at the Engineers Nova Scotia office and leave at 6:45pm to attend the ceremony. We would be pleased to have you join Engineers Nova Scotia's group. If you would like to be part of the group, please arrive at the Engineers Nova Scotia office (1355 Barrington St, Halifax) by 6:40pm.
