You’re an asset to any organization, and you know it (!) but assessing how that translates into your salary, and how that salary compares to other in the market can be tough to get clarity on. With a combined experience in Recruitment and HR, Joanne Brown and Katherine Risley from KBRS and Meridia will lead a conversation on how to understand your market value, what to think about before you enter a negotiation, and how to be successful in a negotiation.

Presenters:

Katherine Risley brings more than a decade of recruiting experience to her role as Partner with Meridia Recruitment Solutions. She specializes in recruiting top talent for Engineering roles at employers throughout Atlantic Canada. In 2019, Katherine was selected by Engineers Canada to receive an honorary Engineers Canada Fellowship, in recognition of the substantial efforts she has made over the years to improve female participation in the engineering profession in Nova Scotia.

Joanne Brown has been working in leadership roles in human resources for over 25 years with leading Atlantic Canadian companies before she partnered with KBRS as a consultant in 2018.  During her years in HR she has gained extensive experience in all aspects of human resource management and most relevant to this discussion; recruiting, talent development and compensation within organizations.  Joanne has always believed in a fair negotiation when hiring and brings the organizational perspective to this discussion.
