Julie was named National Geographic Adventurer of the Year and is a fellow of the Canadian Geographic Society. She’s also a molecular biologist, best-selling author and entrepreneur. Leadership has been essential to success on her expeditions and elsewhere, and she shares lessons she’s learned from rowing across the Atlantic Ocean.   Being able to row 10,000 km, survive a hurricane and live for five months on a tiny rowboat required strong leadership, good teamwork, and the ability to overcome challenges.  Through engaging and entertaining stories, Julie will take you through challenges such as surviving a hurricane from the confines of a rowboat to highlight techniques we can all use to overcome challenge, achieve our goals and become better leaders.
