The health crisis created by COVID 19 has changed our workplaces. Shelter-in-place directives have disrupted our routines and forced us to find new ways of accomplishing our business goals.

Employers and employees have a lot to benefit from by maintaining more flexibility into our workplaces. Work from home, flex hours and virtual meetings generate cost savings, support work/life balance and contribute to a healthier planet– They are also here to stay.

Engineers frequently hold leadership roles, even when they are not directly managing a team. In our new environment, understanding efficiency, engagement and relationships in a remote workplace are essential skills.

Join this session to learn:

  • Importance of setting clear expectations

  • Tools to improve remote communication

  • Strategies to ensure all voices are heard

  • Behaviours that nurture trust
