Engineers Nova Scotia was a proud participant in last year's Pride Parade and we are excited to celebrate diversity and community by participating in the Halifax Pride Festival again this year!

Due to COVID-19, the 2020 Halifax Pride Festival is being reimagined. Assuming that many Pride events will happen digitally, the Young Professionals Committee's Pride Parade Subcommittee has come up with a creative solution -- the Mini-Float Pride Parade!

Individual members will construct mini-floats using whatever materials they have at home (or can easily order online) and then film a clip of the float in motion. The video clips will be stitched together to create a parade that will be added to Engineers Nova Scotia’s YouTube Channel and linked to social media. Virtual workshops where members can share ideas, show off their materials, or just chat in a safe space while working on their floats, are scheduled as follows:

• 2PM, Sunday, May 24^th
• 2PM, Sunday, June 7^th 
• 2PM, Sunday, June 21^st

If you would like to participate, please register! A relatively high level of engagement will be critical to the success of the Mini-Float Pride Parade.
