BNQ: Onsite Domestic Wastewater Treatment Systems Standard Feedback

Jun 15, 2021 12:00 AM

The Bureau de Normalization du Quebec (BNQ) has released a consultation document for the 3680-600 Onsite Domestic Wastewater Treatment Systems Standard. This is one of the standards that Nova Scotia Environment references in Section 59 (1) of the Nova Scotia Standard (Page 23) regarding “Advanced on-site sewage treatment technologies”. These alternative treatment units are available for use in the NS program by engineers so members may be interested in reviewing the Standard and submitting comments. Members are asked to provide feedback directly to BNQ using the feedback form available with the additional information below.

Dear Madam/Sir,

The CAN/BNQ 3680-600 technical committee is currently developing the standard Onsite Domestic Wastewater Treatment Systems. This draft document has recently reached the stage of the Public Review. At this stage, interested parties are invited to comment the document with the view of gaining consensus within the stakeholders community.

In order to make sure that the document addresses your needs, we encourage you to consult the Public Review section of our Web site [http://www.bnq.qc.ca/en/public-review.html] to download the draft document as well as the comments form.

Please return your comments to: secretariat.normalisation@bnq.qc.ca  before August 7, 2021. Please note that comments or proposals from participants must refer to a section of the document, include a technical justification and be presented in the table provided to be considered by the standards development committee.

How to use the comments form:

The comments form must retain its original format. It must not be altered in any way and should be sent back to us in PDF format.

Should the amount of lines provided be insufficient, please use a second comments form. When sending us the forms, please indicate how many forms are included. Any file or document used to support your comments should be sent by email as attached files and not be inserted directly in the PDF comments form. Any suggestions or comments included directly in a standard, or forwarded to us in any other way than the one described above will not be taken into consideration.

Thank you for your valuable contribution.

Best regards,

Suzanne Fontaine, on behalf of
