We want your ideas for building a successful and sustainable future for Nova Scotia!
On behalf of Nova Scotia Environment and Climate Change, a special project team from Clean Foundation will begin public engagement across the province today, in various formats, to help shape new goals for sustainable development and the future of clean growth in the province.
Public engagement begins today and will be completed by July 26th, 2021.
The Government of Nova Scotia passed the Sustainable Development Goals Act in October 2019. This Act sets ambitious new goals to fight climate change and commits to a new Climate Change Plan for Clean Growth. We are reaching out to inform you of the opportunity for you and your stakeholders to voice your ideas on new goals, and what should be included in the Climate Change Plan for Clean Growth.
Nova Scotians can submit their ideas, comments, opinions, and suggestions in several ways, including:
- a Do-It-Yourself workshop kit
- uploading written submissions
- online form submissions or
- engaging in discussion with their peers through our live discussion forum.
In light of the current COVID-19 pandemic, our public engagement will be held virtually. We recommend those wishing to facilitate DIY workshops to follow the recommendations and guidance from the Chief Public Health Officer. Thank you for participating, and we look forward to working towards a clean future with you!
