ISO 14064-1 Essentials – Greenhouse Gas Inventories Course - Dartmouth

Jul 17, 2017 - Jul 18, 2017

Efficiency Nova Scotia is pleased to host a 2-day course on ISO 14064-1 Essentials – Greenhouse Gas Inventories.  The course will be taught by Alan Teare, P.Eng, of CSA Group, and will be hosted at the Efficiency Nova Scotia office in Dartmouth at 230 Brownlow Ave, on July 17-18, 2017.  In advance of the coming Cap and Trade market in Nova Scotia, this training opportunity will provide a knowledge base of fundamental Greenhouse Gas accounting principles for market participants, government, regulators, environmental groups and service organizations that will play a role in recommending, implementing, or verifying GHG reduction projects.  The course is a prerequisite to ISO 14064-3, a standard for GHG verifications that is used in Ontario, Quebec, Alberta, the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI) and other markets.  The concepts in this course (i.e. learning how to count GHGs) are primarily fundamentals and should be valuable irrespective of specific Cap and Trade system details that may emerge over the coming months.

The cost per participant is $1,511 + HST.  To register, please email Mark Robertson at mrobertson@efficiencyns.ca and indicate the first and last names of each participant and any dietary restrictions.  The fees include a copy of ISO Standard 14064-1:2006, a student binder, and lunch on both days.  Efficiency Nova Scotia will send an invoice for course fees in July.
