He has over 20 years of project management and leadership experience and has led many projects to successful completion. Mohamed is a registered professional engineer (P.Eng.) with APEGA, holds a Masters degree in civil engineering, and is a graduate of Cornell University’s Diversity & Inclusion program. He also holds a Canadian Certified Inclusion Professional (CCIP) designation from the Canadian Centre for Diversity and Inclusion (CCDI) and was recently recognized by CCDI as the Diversity & Inclusion Practitioner of the Year. Ana Jaramillo, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Coordinator, is the EDI team's newest member; she joined APEGA in February of this year to help conclude the WAGE grant project and support various other EDI initiatives.

She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a double major in Human Resources and General Management.

Before APEGA, Ana was an Account Coordinator and Market Analyst for a social enterprise focused on fighting food waste and food insecurity. She has also previously worked in the oil and gas industry in Diversity and Inclusion, supporting various employee resource groups, advisory committees, and building community partnerships. Ana has also previously supported the student program at the Calgary Airport Authority through performing full-cycle recruitment and talent management, worked on employee engagement and change management projects, and during her time there, became an integral member of the diversity and inclusion committee. Before her corporate career, Ana spent over ten years working in the retail sector, where she held various management roles and recruited, trained, and supported diverse groups.

Equity, Diversity and inclusion, and her two rescue shepherds are the true loves of her life, and she hopes to continue learning and growing in this space.
